Drawing on her extensive expertise in technical training, software applications, and professional development, she brings energy and insight to the classroom. She also offers motivational and spiritual speaking services that inspire and uplift individuals.
Committed to the development of both individuals and organizations, Joy is also an adjunct instructor in Technology, Administration, and Professional Development across four colleges in the Alamo Community College District. Her extensive years in board governance and a distinguished career in information technology and telecommunications, combined with her hands-on experience as a small business owner, add practical depth to her training, ensuring her insights resonate with real-world challenges.

Adding to her achievements, she has served as a National Executive Board Member on the National Urban League of Young Professionals. Joy's exceptional leadership journey is exemplified by her notable appointments, including her significant role as the San Antonio District 3 Zoning Commissioner, which she passionately served for three impactful terms. Her commitment to this position has brought about transformative change, reaching a historic milestone when she became the first African American woman to assume the position of Chair on the San Antonio Zoning Commission. Additionally, she actively contributes as a committee member representing San Antonio District 3 on the San Antonio Small Business and Economic Development Advocacy Committee.
